Donald Daniels can sum up what the city needs to do to get more young professionals involved in the community in one word: recruit.
"The city should look to business to help by contributing talented resources to accomplish high profile, critically important tasks," he said. "Recruits can be targeted based on the need to be fulfilled."
By doing that city projects would get the attention they need, businesses would be credited with giving back and young professionals would broaden their experiences and become more connected.
As vice president of marketing for
Cincinnati Bell Inc., he oversees planning, strategy, advertising, marketing intelligence and public and community relations for all of the company's retail markets and product.
And when he's not at work, he's lending his time to community groups, including the Anthony Munoz and Boomer Esiason Foundations, as well as the
Cincinnati chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
