A leader follows many paths while on the road to success
Mike Henning. Hotel and Motel Management. Duluth: May 16, 2005. Vol. 220, Iss. 9; pg. 8, 2 pgs

Abstract (Summary)

Being the leader of a hotel operation is a whole life experience. Accountability to all whom you serve is what truly makes the job of a leader different from all others. Leadership is conferred by the followers. It involves new ideas, thoughts, vision, influencing people, asking for support and interaction with people beyond the business walls. It is serving others, motivating, inspiring, choosing direction for a project or the entire company. Leadership also requires the ability to implement pursuit of the vision. Leaders must be both creative in order to inspire and courageous in order to induce implementation.
