It's been hard for John England to watch corporate scandals rock the business world in recent years. But from disappointment has come resolve.

England, 39, is a licensed CPA, certified financial planner and an audit partner at Deloitte and Touche LLP, who is doing his part to restore the public's trust in his profession.

"We need to get back to the basics," England said. "We are the watch dogs. We are the ones who ensure that investors' interests are protected. It's a job not to be taken lightly."

When he isn't crunching numbers for financial services companies or public reporting entities, the avid tennis player and golfer is on several boards of youth organizations, including the United Way. He also coaches inner-city youth.

"Helping youth, is where you can have the biggest impact."

England and his wife, Barbara Jane, live in Mariemont with their sons, Cameron, 9, and Colton, 6.
