Abstract

The purpose of this project was to create a business plan to gain and demonstrate an understanding of key business fundamentals necessary for securing financing to develop an e-commerce website conducting business as an internet component to a company operating in the Health, Fitness, and Sport Industry.

To prove whether or not the author was successful, the plan was submitted to an investor as the final step for the completion of the project. The outcome resulted in both success and failure.

There were concerns regarding the plans descriptions and strategy for e-commerce. The issues concerning the business plan illustrated failure to demonstrate an understanding of key business fundamentals necessary for securing financing for the development of an e-commerce website. However, as a result of failure, a better understanding of key business fundamentals was successfully gained. Further understanding of key business concepts will lead to a revised document.
