Abstract
This novella and collection of stories examines the lives of working class Americans as they test the tales of what it means to live in the Land of Opportunity. This collections re-examines the story of Paul Bunyan, the possibility of upward mobility in blue collar America, and questions what its characters make for themselves when they are not considered especially smart, gifted or graced with visible potential.
