EVER since Toronto-born movie star Mary Pickford was anointed "America's sweetheart" circa 1915, Canada has been exporting showbiz talent to Hollywood.
From Deanna Durbin and Raymond Massey to Nia Vardalos and Rachel McAdams, our spawn have been so numerous along Sunset Boulevard that you wonder why municipal immigration controls have not been instituted.
This past year may have been marked a new high point, or low one, depending on how you view these cross-border celebrity jaunts.
