Abstract

The purpose of this phenomenological study was to understand the meaning and essence of experiencing coaching. It examined qualitative research procedures, phenomenology procedures, and coaching. Most participants claimed that through the meaning and essence of experiencing coaching, participants who bonded with their coaches created a basis of security and an increased sense of empowerment in their lives. Clients who did not effectively bond with their coaches did not have an increased sense of empowerment.
