Waukesha - Agonizing over limited choices Monday night, the School Board made no changes to budget recommendations that would increase class sizes and practically eliminate the district's gifted, elementary guidance and elementary library programs for the next school year.
But board members promised they would soon attack budget problems predicted for future years, warning that closing schools and wholesale athletic reductions could be ahead.
"We don't have any more rabbits in the hat," board member Daniel Warren said.
