A controversial Manitoba aboriginal leader wants talk show host Oprah Winfrey to devote an episode of her widely watched program to murdered and missing aboriginal women and Winnipeg's child prostitutes.
Terry Nelson, chief of the Roseau River Anishinabe First Nation, said Saturday he has written two e-mails to Winfrey's show asking for coverage that could draw public attention to many human-rights abuses and adverse conditions Nelson believes aboriginals in this country face.
