RADIATIVE BOSON DECAYS
by LEE, CHING-YIEH, Ph.D., Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, 1984 , 139 pages; AAT 8500910

Abstract (Summary)

Part I. On The Dynamical Properties Of Pion Decays (pi)(DEGREES) (--->) 2 (gamma), (pi)('+) (--->) e('+) (nu) (gamma), and (pi)('+) (--->) e('+) e('+) e('-) (nu). We investigate some dynamical properties of the pions through the decays (pi)(DEGREES) (--->) 2 (gamma), (pi)('+) (--->) e('+) (nu) (gamma), and (pi)('+) (--->) e('+) e('+) e('-) (nu). Particular attention is paid both to the phenomenological determination and the theoretical prediction of the (gamma) and (xi) parameters.

Part II. Radiative Z(DEGREES) Decay Z(DEGREES) (--->) l('+) l('-) (gamma). The anomalous events measured in the Z(DEGREES) (--->) l('+) l('-) (gamma). decay are analyzed. Some possible explanations are studied in detail. The existence of some hypothetical heavy leptons with masses lying between m(,w) and m(,z) is suggested as a possible solution for the puzzle.
