Create Your Bibliography to Email, Print, or Download

Entries in the bibliography include basic formatting for five broad categories of publication: scholarly journals, magazines and trade publications, newspapers, dissertations, and books. You may need to include further information for special types of documents. For example, you might need to add information on the work being reviewed for a review document. In addition, some features of each format cannot be reproduced automatically (in particular, author name and date formats). You can use the templates provided for each citation style below to verify and correct the format of the generated document citations for the five main publication types in ProQuest.

You can create a bibliography for the documents you have added to your list. You can then:

• Download the information as a text file.
• Email the information as a text or html file.
• Print a copy of your bibliography

Follow these steps to create your bibliography:

1. Click the Create your bibliography to email, print or download link.
2. You see the Create Your Bibliography page. Make the appropriate selections on this form.
3. If you want to email the bibliography:

• Click Email.
• You see the Email Bibliography page. Make the appropriate selections on this page.
• Click Send Email. A note appears confirming that your email has been sent.

4. If you want to print the bibliography:

• Click Print.
• You see the Print Bibliography page, and the print dialog will automatically open. Click Print.

5. If you want to download the bibliography:

• Click Download. You see the Bibliography page.
• Click Save As on your browser’s file menu.
• Navigate to the location you want to save the page.
• Enter a file name for your page.
• Click Save.

On the My Research page, check the box next to each document you want to include in the bibliography.

Click the Create your bibliography to email, print, or download link.
You see the Print Your Bibliography page.

1. Under Format, select whether to print only the citations, or the document summaries (which include both the citation and abstract).
2. Under Citation style, select the citation format you want to use:

• ProQuest Standard
• AMA
• APA
• Chicago/Turabian: Author-Date
• Chicago/Turabian: Humanities
• MLA
• Vancouver

3. Click Print.
   You will see a window displaying your citations, and a print dialog. You can use the print dialog to print, or copy and paste the citations into another document.

Some computers do not provide access to a printer. If you are using a computer in a public building, such as a library or school, and you have trouble printing, ask a librarian for help.

ProQuest Standard

When you select this option, your citations will print as they appear in the ProQuest interface.

AMA Citation Style

Prints according to the American Medical Association’s guidelines for citing electronic resources. For more information see the AMA site.

References at the end of a medical paper should be numbered in the order cited in the text.

Author initials are not followed by a period. Multiple initials should appear with no separation (for example, Other AN).

Scholarly journals:
