Author Profiles

The ABI/INFORM Global database provides access to author and institution profiles for documents from scholarly journals. To view an author profile, click the Author Profile icon next to a scholarly author's name. On the Author Profile page, you can:

• View an Author Profile
• View verified matches for documents written by the author
• Search for more documents by the author
• Update a Profile
• View an Author Profile for an Advisor
• View an Institution Profile for an affiliated institution

Author Profiles

The author profile may contain the following information:

• An email address Copy this address, or click to send an email immediately.
• A link to the author's personal web site Click the link to view the author's site.
• The author's title and affiliation, with a link to the Institution's profile Click the institution name or the Institution Profile icon to view a profile.
• The author's degree and the granting institution, with a link to the Institution's profile Click the institution name or the Institution Profile icon to view a profile.
• Names of the author's advisors, with a link to their profile (if available) Click the adviser's name or the Author Profile icon to view a profile.
• Dissertation titles (if available).
• The author's research interests.
• Verified matches tab for documents Click a document title to view the document.
• Updating a profile If you are viewing your own profile, click Is this your profile? Click here to edit to make changes.

Verified Matches for Documents by the Author

Below the author's profile is a list of documents from scholarly journals in the ABI/INFORM Global database that have been identified as being written by the author. In most cases the match is made based on the author's name and their institutional affiliation.

If no documents have been verified to be written by the author, no documents will be displayed.

To view a document, click its title.

Search for More Documents by the Author

If there are no verified matches for documents written by the author, or if you do not see the document you are looking for, you can search for more documents by the author.

Click the Search for more documents by link to perform a search on the author's first and last name in all of the databases you currently have selected. Note: This search will return documents from all publication types, not just from scholarly journals.

Update a Profile

The author profiles are provided by Scholar Universe™. If you discover information in your profile that
is not correct, you may edit your profile using the Authority Profile™ Revision Request form at the Scholar Universe web site. To do this, click the Is this your profile? Click here to edit link at the bottom of your profile.

Once you fill out and submit the form, you will be contacted by Scholar Universe with further information on how to access your profile for editing. Scholar Universe will verify that the person submitting the form is the person listed in the profile prior to allowing access to edit.

View a Profile for an Advisor

The profile will display the author's advisors, with a link to their profile (if available). Click the adviser's name or the Author Profile icon to view a profile. If the listed advisor has a profile, click the advisor's name to view the profile.

View an Institution Profile

The profile will list the author's degree and granting institution, and any affiliated institutions, with links to their profiles (if available). Click the institution name or the Institution Profile icon to view a profile.
